1) Please make sure that all new topics have proper subject. Do not make subjects like help, help help help, hey etc.

2) Do not advertise irrelevant commnunities here. People doing so will be banned.

3) NO ABUSIVE language will be tolerated. People doing so will be chucked out straightaway. These rules are just an outline. You may be banned/warned for a rule that does not exist here. Use your common sense!!!Suggestion are welcome for betterment.

Dos and Don'ts List:

  1. Don't post about reporting some community/profile as bogus- Trust me everyone who has to know about that community already knows. And the rest don't want to know.
  2. Don't repeat your postings. Yes we all know how important your community is to you- but be polite about advertising it to rest of the world.
  3. Do encourage healthy discussions. India has a ton of positive things to talk about and look forward to. Explore and enjoy those.
  4. Do respect others' views. In your life you will always meet people who don't agree with you- respect their views and move on.
  5. Do report bad behaviour- The moderator does not get time to read each and every post- so don't expect that he can always "take care" of a problem/trouble-maker. When you do report (by sending a message to the moderator)- make sense- don't just send a profile link, send a link to the topic/page where a member is making trouble.
  6. Don't encourage bad behaviour/conflicts. Don't respond to irresponsible posts with your own. Even if you mean well, but are misbehaving in other members' perspective you will be banned.
  7. Don't start profile/posts/chain games- there are other communities better suited for this, look around and choose your own ground.

FAQ

Here are some frequently emailed questions that the moderator answers.
  1. Why did I get banned?
Most likely you broke one or more of the rules above- it may have been noticed by the moderator or somone may have reported you.
  2. Couldn't you have just given me a warning?
That never worked. A ban almost always does.
  3. Could you add a related community to India?
Nope. All the related communities that you see are autogenerated- and I trust that algorithm much more than your recommendations. So if your community is related, it will show up automatically.
  4. How do I report a troublemaker/bad behaviour?
Send me the thread link and the name of the troublemaker. If I have enough complaints or if the bad behaviour is too obvious you will see that cleaned up real soon.
  5. Who are your "eyes and ears" in the community?
Lots of people- you can join too. Just be good to the community. Keep a positive attitude and enjoy!
